Accounting is interesting but you would think they would offer Financial-ED, or appropriate accounting for home finance, teach students how to manage a check book, what is involved with buying and selling a car, home, or how to file taxes, buy health, medical and life insurance, manage credit cards, 401K plan, how to file a will, and what leads to bankruptcy. What a home equity loan is and if all students in high school had this type of class decades ago, there wouldn't be such a high bankruptcy rate in this country.
Drivers Ed, all students and people should have to be certified in financial-ed to get a checking account, credit card, buy any type of insurance, or buy a house only after they have some basic financial education as to what financial life is in the United States. I was thinking about a bill for congress on such things.
Call it "Accounting for the average American" or I still like "Financial-Ed in the United States"
These are what I think personal accounting should be. Don't you think an accounting book should only be for accounting majors.
Is there any Personal Finance book that teaches basic finance and home budgeting responsibilities to Americans, especially 18-25 year old. Most students in high school are never taught about finances by their parents because of them both working. There are immigrants who come to the United States with no idea of financial management. I heard a story from one such person who said, "I don't understand why my checking account is overdrawn, I still have checks!"
If you need drivers ed for driving car maybe the equivalent is necessary for American to handle financial matters.
Let me know if you know of any good books that could be used for such a course, it should be paid for by the credit card companies and banks.
How many countries in the world offer credit cards, home loans, 401 K plans, etc.

Evaluation of Teachers Online for Students
How does everyone feel about having a grading system for the teachers. After every class we would all give a grade to the teacher and how they taught the class, then the grade average would be available when you choose your next class. If there are 3 teachers for a specific class you would see the grad of A-F or 1-10 on a specific teacher and then be able to pick the teacher with the highest score for that class. This way the the teachers would have to work to be the best teachers they could be and Ashford would have only high quality teachers. Teachers with a 0 or F score from students would not have any students enrolled and be forced to change their ways or be dropped due to lack of students enrolling in their classes. Send your opinions on this to your councelor.
